Interested in hearing how many miles/km you guys got out of your stock pump?
The average life appears to be around 40-50k for the oe part.
Cheers.

I had about 170k on stock IC pump; had my car stock for 8-12 years, recently started and finished modifying and changed it to the VRP superflo pump.

My original still worked when I replaced it in the last 1-2 years if that helps. Not much mileage on the car though. For mild mods nothing beats the plug and play 010 Bosch pump.

I bought my car with 137k km (85k miles). A few months into ownership, I start logging IAT, boost, etc and discover that the pump is dead. So the stock pump could've died shortly after I bought the car, or even before I bought it. It was replaced with a 010

Please excuse my ignorance, how would I know if mine is still functioning? My car is bone stock with 161k miles, doesn’t have any issue with cooling

You will heat soak quickly without it working. This means you might get 1-2 decent bouts of acceleration back to back. Then the next one, the car will be really slow. If you want to check it, click the link in my signature for IC pump replacement, make the jumper wire and bridge the connections in the trunk, you will hear it whirring away.

The S/C will only shutdown after 212f..I've had multiple crazy pulls and barley noticed the timing being pulled..
Night and day with the 010.

If you run the car hard continuously you'll feel it lose power. Data-logging will tell you for sure because your intake temps will be sky high with a dead pump. With a working pump they should be around 20F above ambient temp. Or you can jump the pins in the trunk as TW2 said above Or activate the pump with STAR if you have it
