Nothing about this new M5 makes me have any regrets. But the part of me that misses the feel of a BMW just might have to check out the next model M3 when it arrives. Maybe a V8 with 400 hp? Oh, yeah! Till then I'll just enjoy the considerable virtues of my E55.

Hell no!! Can't wait to spank them. I'll be ready, already strapped on 19's and have the ecu/pulley kit and headers on order baby! Can't wait to install everything....I'll be hunting down e60 m5's once they are on the road.
On a side note, i do like how bmw engineered their new v10. It is quite impressive, but like i said, i'll be ready. :p

What good is a car you can't mod? Ecu/pulley and headers are not considered heavily modifying a car. These are really simple bolt-on modifications. It can't get any easier than these upgrades. I am not trying to compete on a course with the new m5's, but rather i am going to walk them in straight lines, highways, and on the strip. I will post pics when i install my upgrades. I will also take pics and video tape my races. I do not try to talk sh*t about bmw m cars because i have owned them in the past and my father is #5 on the waitlist for the e60 m5. But from my previous m onwership experiences, i have always liked the high reving engines, but i was never able to modify them that much. I was never able to squeeze mroe power from those engines, until recently, i have discovered that i could have been able to supercharge my 02 e46 m3 with the activeautowerks.com supercharger kit. There is just so much potential in forced induction cars, especially with the e55. Stock power of the e55 is great, but if you are able to mod it, why not? I enjoy modding all my cars, gives me something to look foward to. The thirst for more power will always be in me as i see my cars become more beastly and get better 1/4 times.
I guess my point is that i really like modifying cars! Stock just doesnt do it for me
