Question about Throttle body wire harness

Quick question:

Is the wire harness going into the recirculating air flap/bypass valve removable? I know its the same harness that goes to the the main throttle body, but I believe its epoxied into the main T-body. Is it also epoxied into the bypass air flap?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. That's great info. I had ordered a used bypass valve, but the harness wiring was cut. I didn't arrive in the mail yet, but I was worried that I may have a paperweight, if the cut harness isn't able to be removed. Glad to hear that I can just swap my harness into it, once the cut one is removed.

Thanks again!

Problem

Just received the used bypass flap. It looks as if the above info is incorrect, as the harness is most certainly epoxied in to the connector.

Darn. Im going to try to carefully cut around the glue and see if I can remove it.

No worries

No worries at all. I certainly appreciate your input. Let's hope this solved my p208e fault for the m16/7 recirculating air flap.

Thanks again

I was able to cut around the epoxy with a small razor. It was a bit tedious, but I freed up the plug and removed it.

Thanks again

By the way, E55AMG0220....let me know if you stilll need that intercooler from your other post.

I have the one I removed the bypass flap from, and would let it go pretty cheaply. Thanks
