IF you want luxury, buy an s500,s430 and walk away with change. The comfort is much much superior in the S than the E. M5 is a drivers car and requires a level of skill to control and utilize it properly. The e55 is really just too simple to drive and although you have all that torque, you still have a slushy auto box
The idocracy of this statement is infinite. I could go on for ever on how ignorant somebody must be to say such a thing. First of all, you have no idea about the pricing of Benz's because if you were to purchase an S500 over an E55, there would be quite little change buddy. Actually, you'd be in a bit of a deficit as that S500's are currently going for $84,620, whereas E55's are going for $80,220. Second, the only reason you consider the M5 a "driver's car" is because its handlind is slightly superior to that of the E55 which is due to the fact that BMW sacrifices SO MUCH in the building of their cars. I could easily SLEEP in my E55 every night and still wake up refreshed in the morning. I can't drive to the market in ANY BMW and not have a backache and stiff muscles afterwards. The only "skill" required to drive that car is flexibility and the lack of pain receptors. Finally, why the HELL would you call an E55 a slushy autobox? Im sorry, but when I street race, I'm not racing on a Daytona 500 or Indianapolis 500 Speedway, I'm racing in a STRAIGHT LINE. So what if I can drive down Mulholland Drive at 60 mph in an M5, I can do that in the Porche that I could buy for the same price and have much more fun doing it. All I need to know is that wherever I'm comfortably driving in my luxurious E55, when I pull up to some pathetic excuse for a human being such as yourself, I can set his clocks back and leave him with an image of my middle finger out my window staring him right in the face. PM me any time if you ever feel like making another stupid comment and getting shut down.
Thanks Mattar, he's not worth it though. dgussin1's got it right: "Don't argue with idiots, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."
Not necessarily, I saw a couple of E's badged as E65 in Miami, complete with a V12 bi-turbo badge on the sides. Heck, I think I even saw an E75 once
On a serious note, Brabus does build V12 bi-turbo E and CLS (google "Brabus Rocket"), I believe they are around $250,000 though and the Rocket currently holds the record for the fastest 4-door car at 227mph (set at Nardo in 2006).
