Would having custom made bigger surge tank make any performance gains?

I don’t think connection will make performance upgrade

another waste of time and effort. it won't do anything.

If it did don't you think that MB and AMG with infinity deeper pockets would have?

V8...just add a little more boost if you are looking for some extra power, or a tune. Cheap and easy.

Wonder why they didnt put LSDs in from the factory, or better cooling systems, or more boost, or bigger throttle bodies, or what about that god awful exhaust manifold. But mercedes doesnt ever do anything we could do better ;-)

i am surprised that no one has come up with some way to isolate the intake valves in surge tank via new runners -- having the exhaust valve opening and closing has to have an effect on boost - probably to expensive to design/machine - am i wrong with my understanding of how the surge tank setup works

But most people use smaller pulley than Mercedes design for more more power

Why try to reinvent the wheel? What's your goal? You just really dont want to spin the SC faster?

So if you done cooling and pulleys already I guess you have done the exhaust and custom tune as well? Sorry on mobile and can't see your mods list if you have it there. Also what pulleys are you running? Maybe you have room to go more aggressive

Get some sort of data set up before anything else. If your temps are getting high better cooling can get you a lot of power.

The usual things minus any sort of monitoring?

Makes even more sense to have it before you start pursuing out of the box ideas
