Why is my E55 slow?

Hello! 1st time poster so thank you all. I will get straight to the point.

I have an 05 E55, 144k on it, new laser iridiium plugs installed. She runs like a champ and purs like a kitten but my 0-60 times are constantly averaging 5 seconds. Nice cool mornings before the sun comes up are, as expected, the best times but my best was barely 4.9

I try my best to launch, I get a little chirp and T/C action on the dash, but does that equate to losing 0.7 seconds?

I raced an ATS-V on the freeway and he didn't dominate, but he was slowly pulling away vs. being equal. The E55 pulls very hard up to 130, as others in youtube videos have.

So I know this is a broad question, just looking for input/opinions/experiences from others. 5 seconds to 60. What do you think?

+1 on checking the intercooler pump. Is traction control cutting power or just wheel braking? This can make a huge difference to a 0-60 time. Lack of traction is the biggest challenge with so much torque.

An ATS-V should comfortably walk a stock 55, even from a roll.

Rated 0 to 60 is 4.5 seconds with good tires on a prepped track surface and no wheel spin or ESP intervention. Try starting off a bit easier so ESP doesn't cut power. Sounds normal for street driving.

Using a draggy I was able to get my 0-60 time consistently down to 4.5 (4.2 with roll-out like the magazines) with TC on or off. A perfect run will have minimal wheelspin and zero TC intervention so if you're getting 5 seconds with traction control kicking in then you need to launch it in a way that is just short of triggering the traction control.

Friends mid length headers and muffler delete ran a 4.35

Yes, the key to launching is finding the perfect medium of power and traction.

I was able to consistently get 4.3(4.1 1ft rollout) on my stock cl55 (with minor exhaust leak and vacuum) with all season AS3+ 285s which is a decent tire but no comparison to good summers.

If I mash the pedal then I'm gonna get 5sec 0-60s with TC on. With TC off I would get 6+ 0-60 likely.

If you make it to 60 before you end up in a ditch...

E55 AMG wagon
I'm guessing it's near impossible to check which IC pumps we have without disconnecting the pipes and opening the system to air? (I really can't be bothered to bleed the system)
