Was 2003 a split year for the CLK55?

I have an 2003 CLK55 and it’s a w209.

Wikipedia states W208 ended in 2003 and C209/A209 started in 2003, so does seem to be a “split” year. The internet parts search for a 2002 yielded the same 188* to 192* thermostats availability.

all the plain jane 112 and 113s have an 87C stat. 71C stats were used a long time ago in euro cold climate packages to turn the heat on quicker but went away because everybody knows that cold running engines = bad

OEM always comes with (188F) >> (87C),,

(160F) >> (71C) is aftermarket "Wahler"..
