E55 AMG
Got me c63 mufflers and resonator deleted and man so far it's the best v8 exhaust note I have heard and honestly should have been like this from the factory. So cold starts the exhaust barks to life and is fairly loud but as the engine gets to operating temperature and is only slightly louder than stock. When cruising there is no drone what so ever and you can hear the exhaust a little bit as soon as you start accelerating but still very quiet. It's only when the supercharger clutch kicks in and revs rise above 23-2500 rpm is when the exhaust really opens up and it's not like a mustang or charger or chevy v8 exhaust note. It's much deeper and has unique growl like sound and the downshift deceleration sounds amazing. Definitely worth it imho.

Mines currently at an exhaust shop getting the 2nd cats and the resonators removed, so I imagine when I pick it up this afternoon I'll be saying the same thing.
you need headers, definitely LTH with x pipe if not mids to enhance your C63 mufflers.

I wasn't the one who had them actually, I was just doing the res and 2nd cat delete. And after doing it, I'm definitely not doing the c63 mufflers. LTH someday...but honestly it's currently plenty loud for what I want, plenty loud in general for neighborhood living.

On a side note, the exhaust shop owner who did the work went from an E55 to an S63 and now owns a GT. I need to open an exhaust shop I think.

Today I changed my air filters. I didn't realize they were as bad as they were. Since changing them, the exhaust note has become more pronounced. I am happy with it now.

Dam! Such pin point descriptions of C63 mufflers on E55! That’s why it scares the crap out me every I open her up! And I know for a fact that motorcyclists can hear the gates of hell opening up too When I’m driving next to them....Bwwwahaha!
