E55 AMG Aftermarket Gauges
Hi Folks,
I am wanting to install aftermarket gauges into my 2005 E55. I am reluctant to drill holes and butcher car and install multiple gauges. For this reason I am looking at purchasing a pair of 2nd hand Areoforce gauges off a member on here.
I was wondering if anyone can share where they have installed their aftermarket gauges?
Also what parameter's is everyone measuring in their E55's?
Thanks in advance

Yes please mate, that would be great. I had a look online and the only custom gauge holder I could find was the one from VRP in the air vent which I am not overly keen on.

If you want subtle then I would suggest the small square gauges from here. https://www.dynotunenitrous.com/ they have single and double. AFR is all you really need to determine an issue but fuel pressure would be the only other one I would consider adding.

I hope you are going to install the most importaint gauge of them all for the m113k, "The Oil Pressure Gauge", I am tackling the install of the gauge on saturday and am hoping that my pressure is fine, gl to you with your gauges.

Thanks for the pointers fellas. I am hoping to get hold of 2 Areoforce gauges from SICAMG and install them (so I can view all the parameters) if that fails I was thinking boost, oil pressure and AFR gauge.
What are people's thoughts on that?

The difference is in how they do it and how boost is controlled. Turbochargers vary boost with rpm, boost threshold, wastegate type and setup, boost creep, boost controller type and setup, IAT's, intercooler efficiency, heat soak etc, you can overboost and have a sorts of problems if things are not right.
Superchargers vary with rpm (mostly for centrifugal) and a tiny bit with pressure, temperature etc but you can't overboost by 5psi accidentally. Whatever pulley, fuelling and other mods you have is pretty much the boost you will always see. If you want to see what your boost is, just log it with the OBD2 port.

Yeah I know what you mean, but they do look super cool. I am hopefully purchasing 2 Areoforce interceptor gauges from SICAMG (fellow MB member on here)
So then I can have a whole host of parameters. Anyone else have Areoforce gauges installed their E55's?
