I was going to pickup a HF 56" toolbox for $649.99 (w/coupon) or 72" @ $999.99 (w/coupon).
(If anyone needs the coupon, let me know I'll post it)
We were just casually walking down the isle, saw quickjack on the rack. "What" - that can't be right. Quickly searched the wed, checked several sites, also logged into Costco, price is $1,199.99.
If you see it at $1,199.99 - pretty sure if you show them the photo they'll match it....
No luck here on the West coast, checked within a 100 mile radius of Blaine, no stores carry it. Lady said they've been discontinued in stores since March. The $699.99 could be a "clearance" price to get rid of remaining stock in stores on the East coast. They also will not price match online, something about the prices online already including shipping and handling
Also for guys close to the Canadian border, the price of the 5000SLX is $1,299.99 CAD, which is about $980 USD, and this is regular price

I called the local Costco today and was told the same story.
The lady I spoke with searched other locations 100 miles or so north and south of me. No luck.
I know I have asked similar questions before, what do you guys think of this compared to a scissor lift?
I believe these can only lift about 50cm or so whereas a scissor lift can go around 1 meter.
(Unfortunately a 2/4 post can't fit in my garage and I can't build another garage).

I haven't really looked into the scissor jacks to be honest. Quickjack seems convenient as you can set it up anywhere and it stores away nicely. I imagine the scissor jacks aren't as mobile and easy to store?

Yes they are about 400kg (880lbs) so you can't move them around much, need to park over it in the garage (100mm clearance needed) and even picking them up from the shop is a logistical nightmare. The only benefit is they are around the same price and lift a lot higher.

Seems like a scissor lift would be a better choice then, much more room for bigger jobs. But I've seen some scissor jacks that don't leave much space under the car. The mobility of the Quickjack doesn't mean much...not like anybody is going to be moving it around all the time. At least I wouldn't anyway
I have the top of the line "7000xl" series quickjack. Kind of regret buying the this model. Was thinking about using it on my dodge big van, but dont have it anymore.
Its good to use for doing some work underneath and all, but difficult doing a trans as its not high enough. I dropped trans and was a bit of a hassle as the trans jack was a bit high. Will have to drop my trans again as its leaking!
