Hi all - have W212 E63S, like it so much I'm now looking for an S211 E63 wagonator.

Did all S211's have the jump seats? We would be using this as a sometimes kid-hauler/always anti-SUV so we need the seating flexibility. IT looks like the VIN decoder says this is option code 844, and it's showing up on all of my VIN decode searches but not all ads mention them so I'm worried I might be looking for a needle in a 170-car haystack

The S211 E55 wagons had optional 3rd row seats, pretty sure it was optional on the E63s as well. I think 3rd row seating was available on the S212, but just not on the AMG model

THat's correct on the S212. The reason I'm asking is the code - 844 - bench seat in cargo area - is showing up on every single E63 S211 VIN I've decoded so far, it'd be nice if it was standard so I have one less permutation to look for, bad enough to have a lot less than 170 cars to choose from

I have seen 211s without them, so think it was either non-standard or there was an option to delete them.

Yep just found confirmation they were optional. And my vin decoder was not refreshing which is why I saw it ona ll of the VINs I decoded. 1/7 of the listings on autotrader has them

There's one on BAT right now that has them - if I had a garage right now I'd buy it but, patience. ugh.

If I were in the market for a wagon, I'd definitely want the 3rd row seats

agreed. after looking into retrofitting a 212 with them, thats a big part of why we ultimately went with a 211

I have a W210 wagon with the 3rd row seats. They never get used.

If I had 3rd row seat they would for sure never be used. I don't have kids, so my backseats aren't even used I have people in my backseat maybe a handful of times a year
