I have a SRX [edited wrong model]laser detector/radar jammer on my M3 and it works great. I want to put one on the E55 but am not sure where to put the two jammers and one detector on the front end where it wouldn't look bad. In the place of the ashtray is perfect for the display but where do I put the sensors? Any pictures? Thanks.

I am reinstalling my SRX this weekend, I hope.

In my Z06, I velcroed the display to the headliner right by the windshield. This way, I could watch the road and still figure out how strong the signal was. (I hate to take my eyes off the road while trying to find hidden cops). Also, when I got pulled over, I was able to hide the unit by flipping down my visor. It was not visible from the front of the car because the top portion of the windshield up near the headliner was heavily tinted.

Also, because the rear window was so small and low in the Z06, you could not see the unit from behind the car. This may or may not be the case for the E55, but I'd still prefer to have the display in front of me at close to eye level.

For my Bel the 2 front laser shifters as behind the mesh on either side of the front plate. The radar dectector is mounted in the space for the distronic. The display is in the ashtray. Obviously the rear shifter is in a plate bracket over the rear plate.

Thanks Eddie. My previous installer (who was just an audio/video guy) didn't want to put the sensors behind the mesh for reception issues. I have distronic so I'll have to do something else for the radar. Any concern about the screen interfering with reception?

Supposedly not. I believe that's the standard location.
