The long wait has ended. Hail to the E55!!
JUst picked up my 05 E55 today. Sadly, it poured down rain like a monsoon the whole 35 mi. drive home so I have not yet felt all its power.
Obsidian, DVD nav, CD changer, pano, ventilated seats, pwr rear sunshade, xenons.
Sirius being installed Friday. Does anyone have a pic of the trunklid with the computer mouse sized thingy/antenna on the trunklid? Dealer is painting it to match so it shouldn't look too obtrusive.
Ordered the euro front bumper strips from Steve at MBenzNL and took them with me to pick up car. Service guy installed them in 15 minutes for free as I signed the papers. These are highly recommended for 180.00 and are the exact same quality as the strips they replaced.
Right now still trying to figure out how to remove the hood ornament. I have the AMG hood pin (the 149.00 one) from Mario Donati and it looks awesome, but I need to be told how to remove that hood ornament. There is some kind of metal piece when you open the hood under the ornament; I can't tell if it screws out or what. Any ideas????
Will be pouring through the manuals tonight. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow!!
This board has been awesome as I waited for almost a year for my allocation.
