I just bought the front rotors from rockauto for the $300 a piece. Was able to use a 5% off coupon as well so that saved me a few more dollars. While the brakes are more expensive then most other cars I don’t think $300 a piece is really a crazy amount of money for 2-piece rotors. The brake pads were pretty expensive though Lol
Nice! I am planning on keeping the car for a while so when I need brakes I will buy them from FCP simply because of the life time replacement program.
Regardless: it is not too expensive. Just more expensive than the single-piece ones —understandably.
Last year, I purchased new rotors for my BMW X5M, since I spent so much money on them, shipping was free.
When they arrived, these UPS guy didn't not even bring them to my front door, which is up several stairs, because they were too freaking heavy.
So I can just imagine what shipping cost would be to send your rotors back to FCP Euro. Besides you could remove your old friction ring, and have new custom rings mounting to your aluminum hats from Coleman Racing Products.
They can manufacture true direction cross drilled or slotted rotors. www.colemanracing.com 800-221-1851 ext, 122
This what the route, I was going in 2018, when a fellow MBWorld member reached out to me, and I sold him my aluminum hats.
So I will most likely take this route when my brakes rotors needs replacing in a few years.
