Cylinder head rocker shafts/arms

I am looking at some cylinder head projects and was not sure about rocker arms. Any one have knowledge on putting rocker arm shaft set ups from one head to another or are they all mated from head to head. I know you "should" keep everything matched up but there are lots of heads for sale and a lot do not have shafts on them and I have no knowledge with them.

Inspect them for wear if none is found you are good to use them.

Keeping them together was an old school thing when pushrods and rockers would be wore together. If there was enough wear that it would cause an issue not putting it back with a matched set then they shouldn’t be reused to begin with. It is good practice to put everything back where it came from when doing engine work regardless.

I may have not asked this question correctly. The rocker arm assembly is one unit with rockers, shafts and bridges that hold down camshaft so asking if bridge's are interchangeable from one head to another.
Always thought they where matched to the cylinder head.

They aren’t break castings. When you have them off the mating surfaces are machined flat. Not sure of the machine process for the cam race though it very well could be done with the rocker assembly on.

they are matched to the cylinder head for cam Bearing clearance. The shafts and rockers and hydraulic pieces are replaceable.

I have found countless cylinder heads for sale with out shaft bridge assemblies. It makes no sense because you cant sell them with no shafts and you can't install the bridge/ shafts that came off the head to any other head so....why remove them?

Done except for plumbing and attaching the trans.

Then it gets slid in. Need to find the right injectors. And get some form of pulley back from VRP.
