Just curious for those with coilovers, what setup do you run or recommend? Thinking about BC racing ones, run about $1,000. The KWs are pretty much double. Thanks guys

Sure is. I have them on the stiffer side and it works with my setup. On full soft, the ride feels stock. Out of the box they come set pretty stiff and low. Here's a pic with them on my car with 20" wheels. The rear is max height and front is set a little lower.

Thanks! Rear tires are pretty aggressive 305/30/20 but they fit! lol. I'm actually planning on downsizing to 19s in the near future.

I thought the tires looked beefier. I’ve been wanting to try that size.

You'll need to roll the fenders for them to fit, BTW. They barely fit with them rolled.

Ive read a lot of old threads talking about it.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yours Vossens? What’s the width and ET on the rear wheels?

They’re stance SC6 wheels. Width is 10.5 and I’m not 100% sure on the ET but I believe they’re +36.

Here’s how flush it was when I had the height lower.

Looking nice man! Where did you end up getting the rear control arms from? Did you pay for the install or did it yourself?

Got the control arms locally. It was done in the garage with a friend. This write up is very useful.

Yes, it is thanks

Was more concerned about the overall quality. The installation thread starter Amir posted that 7 years ago. Let me ask him how it held up.

Quality is great IMO. My coils were ordered from BC directly and they have good customer service.

I had BC Racing BR series on my 2000 540i a few years back, and they were really good. Honestly better than the KW V3s I have on my other car right now, all things considered. For the price, you can't beat them Ride quality was excellent. So much so that after a while I basically forgot there were coilovers on the car. I liked them so much I recently ordered a set of them for my E55 Wagon. Had to get them to piece together a kit, which they call a "hybrid" which has the front suspension from the E55 kit and the rear from a E350 wagon in order to properly fit, I hope. Will report back once I get them installed.

Good to hear. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the BR series set soon. Haven't driven the E55 for almost a month now!

Received my BC Coilovers yesterday and super stoked to get them installed. However, having a hard time finding the (2) rear lower control arms from a W211 E350. Anyone?

How much would an Indy shop charge to convert the airmatic to coilovers?

vrpspeed stock the arms your looking 4.

I imagine that shop would charge an hour or two for the front and maybe 3 to 4 hours for the rear?

I believe the part number for the rear control arm is 2113501806. You might want to double check on that though. I found a set on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/283496493154.

Also found this https://m.eeuroparts.com/Parts/47371...it-3086857KIT/

They don't have the arms in stock unfortunately.
