Widest possible rear wheel on e55

I got my car with e63 wheels on it currently. The 5 spoke 18 inch set. The previous owner plastidipped EVERYTHING, and a long time ago at that. While it looks fine, it doesn't look great close up. I've been looking at 19 inches, since I still want it to be at least a little comfy.

I happened upon an ad for Lamborghini Gallardo cassiopeia wheels. Same lug pattern, good offset, 19 inches, good tires. Only issues are the hub bore is smaller on the wheels than the car, and the rear wheels are 11 inches wide... The fronts are 8.5, which is good. And I found 20mm adapters to go to a smaller hub size. That would work on the front and would space it out so it'll fit just perfectly. The rears however, I'm not even sure if 11's could physically fit. They have a 295 tire, and according to willtheyfit.com, they'd fit the exact same on the outside as the wheels now. Meaning all the extra girth is added to the inside. Will there be any clearance issues? I know a lot of audi boys get 2 sets of fronts to have on both sides, since they can't fit 11 inches. But then I'm going down to an 8.5 inch wheel in the rear, and I'm concerned that's not a whole lot of tire. The seller knows someone who owns a machine shop that is confident in the wheel construction, and their own ability to rebore the rear wheels. I just want to know if it'd be physically possible to fit them anyway. I have stock suspension and am not lowered

This place is a joke.
I ran 295/30/18's on custom 18x10's in the rear, tucked in, no problems with rubbing.

Awesome, got any pics? I'd love to see! It feels like that thick of a tire should fit. A lot of people are saying 11's bump the control arm, depending on offset. I've seen a few sl55's fit 11's no problemo. Not sure how similar they are

And these pics are later on with the same wheels painted running 255/35/18 front and 295/30/18 rear

That looks incredible. Did you have much room on the inside? Like I said almost every set of Cassiopeia wheels I come across have 295's.so doesn't seem like the tire is too big of an issue. I'm okay with a little stretch (as little as possible, to keep it good lookin) sticking out of the fenders just. Touch isn't a big deal to me, as long as the tire doesn't rub on the fender, and the wheel doesn't affect the control arm.

I'm sure the tire won't be a big deal, as I'm going up an inch, and down 5 on the sidewall of the tire

I had about 1 finger's worth of space from the tire to the fender lip and the same on the inside tire edge, although I don't remember which suspension component was the closest. It's all about the wheel offset. After all that work, I did go back to the original wheels and axle ratio (had 2.82) because of ride quality and highway cruising rpm's. I'm getting ready to "restore" my E55 back to stock appearance (but upgraded performance) and keep it for a weekend driver instead of a daily. You just don't see them any more and I like to think it will be a nice collectible in the years to come. Like an old muscle car I'd like it to appear as it did from the factory, super clean like a time machine. I'm even removing all the tint so you can see the somewhat cool factory blue glass.

Please do a thread on your progress as we need more threads like that. I would like to keep up with what you’re doing with it. The less of nice clean E55s available and more that get wrecked and totaled out, the more the price will increase....I hope. Lol.

I'm running 20x10.5 with 305/30/20 rear tires. It fits but barely. Need to have fenders rolled though.

05 E55 (06 E55 RIP)
I've got 19x10 +37 and there is room for a pinch more. my guess is 10.5 with a 305 might be doable.
