replaced from strut with Arnott now communication error

replaced from strut with Arnott now communication error
developed a serious leak in the right front strut, was going to order both Arnotts new not rebuilt but only the right one (AS-2787) was available so I ordered and am backordered for the AS-2788.
Went ahead and replaced today since that is the side that is bad anyway, got it installed, electrical connectors are very tight (thinking Maybe I didn't get the them fully inserted.) trying to release pressure or add pressure and I get Communication Error 8.xxxx (need to go see what the actual error is).
I am about to go double check the top connector, as that is the one that controls the air valve. anything else I should look at?
