These cars need an LSD

Took my CL55 amg to the 1/4 mile the other day after getting some Hankook f200 put on the stock rims and I was so disappointed with the car. Only mods I have is a raceiq tune and it made almost 500 wheel torque on the dyno, this made me very excited to see what I can get on the drag strip.

I have some gopro videos from inside the car. Burnouts where pretty weak but as most of you know the car just wont let me do it for longer. I was gonna try dyno mode but last time I was at the track some CLS55 did dyno mode burnout and then blew the trans.

I still think its crazy these cars came with open diff from factory, I know they are luxury vehicles but its the amg variant so they could have put one on.

I think if I had an lsd I could have done a very good pass. Sadly its probably one of the last days of ~60f in Miami

My friend from outside the car told me he would see both wheels spin then change to one then back to two

As for psi I went from 30psi to 20 psi nothing really helped.

Even though I spun I still beat 2020 Camaro SS, Some challenger Hemi, and some truck with huge drag slicks (dont know what it was)

Your right you need to put an LSD in it. Mine made a world of difference probably my favorite upgrade. I used to hate the side to side bog down when driving in a straight line when the esp would keep switching the brakes on either side left right left right.. Still doesn't get rid of the understeer on circuit midcorner but maybe I just need to brake more...Hope to get back to do some circuit hotlaps soon now that I can drive much better from all the simulator time I've put in the past year.

What did u run. Spinning that much your better off using the traction control. I have mine figured out pretty good. On my car I stab it half way off the line then mash it. I can not match those 60ft times with it off.

The car launches better with traction control off. Your 60ft is sh*t is because you’re just dumping the throttle. Walk it out of the hole before you go ***** deep brother

The times where bad didn't even get the little paper, think best was 13.0. I used traction control for the last run but it felt super sluggish as if the car started in 2nd gear, I had it in Drive Sport. (didnt record last run)

Yeah I had tried modulating the throttle, The car feels like its 0% throttle then sudden 80% or I am just bad at it.

I tip into the throttle. Methodically floor it. By the time you’re at 3kish, gone head and floor it. If traction control is on, just floor it

What was your 60ft and mph? Those will tell you what's going on. 60ft is traction and mph is HP. For reference I went 13.08 at 108mph with a 2.04 60ft in my S55 which I thought was decent. With Drag radials it went 12.99 at 108mph with a 1.98 60ft but I didn't have any traction issues.....just a long first gear.

I dont remember I threw the papers away. I am pretty sure none went under 13, and the speed was 114 mph

I think of is this way, imagine trying slowly step on a spider. don't stomp, just lay your foot heel to toes flat nice and easy.
