I only drove maybe 6 miles but everything worked as soon as i plugged the tcu in. very smooth crisp shifts my 2-3 shift had no prob barking those tires on the shift at med throttle. Its a more refined version of what i had with all those gains. wot shifts feel like a dsg trans now. Thanks zerocat for putting the time and energy into this prob the most important part of the puzzle. This may not be for everyone if you have gears stall its def a must to get the most of that.

Thanks for input on this esp since I have gears/stall/lsd, now to get the car completed at Buckhead so it can come closer to home for body work and the home fully to me!!!
or maybe just have Buckhead pull the TCU and send it out to be flashed?! 🤔 Either way I won’t be driving the car until prob end of May. Oh well that’s ok since I lost the car in 2015 and it needed some love.
you can keep your tcu he can send you a tcu with tune on it.
Adding to this, the replacement TCU can and should be customized to your set up. Don't just buy it, but rather, contact Troy and tell him about your car and how the TCU will be used. He does not flash your TCU, he completely modifies a TCU he provides and seals it so no trans fluid can migrate to the TCU through the cable connector. All that for a TCU that actually performs and at a lower cost than just about anyone out there. Good luck.

I just plugged in this exact TCU and every single light came on and my car would not even turn over. I put the stock TCU back in and all ok. Why do I have this problem? My car is a 2006 rhd SL55.
Try the sneaky ecu reset the car might have driver adaptions from old car that need to be cleared. Google e55 sneaky ecu reset if you don't know it already.

The supplier just refunded my money as he had not coded it for Oz cars.
Yeah his TCU is one of the best things I did for my car, Troy is great! His latest release really hit a sweet spot, tuned based on SLR shifting so it's smooth during smooth driving and oh so nice and firm when you get on it.
Only the SL55 I run into coding issues due to Taiwan and Not Taiwan variant code for scn. You will get a no start due to drive authorization on SL55. Any good scan tool or Star/das/vediamo can reset variant code to your location if it was an import with Taiwan Coding string. Why I changed policy on SL55 cars recently where tcu has to be sent to me or 4 digit variant code read by star or scan tool messaged to me so I can set it up correctly. Any issues I respond within 24hrs or sooner.
I do have a Merc only scan tool which I will try in the meantime and try and find that 4 digit variant code and send to you. The dealer wants $220 just to plug in the Star and previous experience is they don't want to assist with non stock mods.
You mise well buy SD Connect Star C4 off aliexpress with laptop setup for under 400 bucks and you won't ever need to go to the dealership.
In TCU diagnosis with your TCU plugged in, the only fault shows up as P2602 "The voltage supply of the valves is faulty". In vehicle information: CID1:1131530591020004, CID2: 0345451532020004, CVN1: 4DE10B0F, CVN2: 00000A23. That is all the information given in "Vehicle Information". No 4 digit number anywhere except for the P2602. With the stock TCU all the same except for no P2602 or any other faults. Thanks for your help.
