I am wondering if its better to just get a set of W211's calipers than to buy a set of brembo calipers and can the W211's fit on a W210?

Ceramic brakes are an option on the GT-2 and the GT-3.

how about taking the C55/Clk55 brake system onto the W210 E55?..what are your thoughts??

 

No, the spec don't fit. But ... you should can modifly it.

not to detour/jack the thread; Evo-sport just confirmed the C55 BBK will fit onto W210 e55 no problem as they have sold few sets to other w210 owners when they had the sale last yr

 

W210's calipers and rotor is expensive than W211. My co-worker has a 99 E55 and he is think to switch to W211's rotor, but can't be done. Maybe there are chance if you use both W211's rotor and calipers together, but no sure if it works.

BTW, C55 isn't the same 8 piston calipers as E55. And, does the system fit under your current rims? Will it fit will be another issue. Maybe CLK AMG's rotor and Caliper might fit into W210 since the size is smaller.
