Have they all run out? This sounds like a good time for AMG to start making and selling their own hood badges. I'd hate to think what they'd charge! ...but you know you'd buy 'em.

Unless your car was actually produced by AMG at the AMG facility, then you're just a poser putting fake badges on your car. MIND BOGGLING!

BTW, our E55's are not produced at the AMG factory.

Just heard back from the second guy, Mario. $149 shipped, looks sick! It sits in the recessed part of the hood so its not big like the CLK style emblem. Ordering one immediately, you can pay through PayPal. Peace.

Just to clear the air, I've been away on vacation for the past 5 days with no access to my e-mail. That's the reason for the delayed response. My apologies to all!!

FYI, the round "oranges" in the tree are actually red apples. Affalterbach (where AMG engines are manufactured as well as pre-2001 models) is derrived from the German word affal (apple). Check-out http://www.affalterbach.de
