the problem of flying off and breaking the compressor belt

hello friends. tell us who and how is dealing with the problem associated with our belt. and this problem is due to the different speed of revolutions of the crankshaft pulley and compressor pulley.

this problem is only for those owners of m113k who have an increased crankshaft pulley and a reduced compressor pulley and there is an additional tensioner

Not a common problem., We have had a few customers with extreme setups throw belts, and the cause was the 8 rib pulley, The single bearing allows it to pivot accross the face of the pulley and throw the belt., we made a dual bearing 8 rib pulley that cant pivot. Also cheap belt wrap kits (Usually cut out of sheet metal) can flex the mounting plate when under torque, Id reccomend a billet plate there which would have increased rigidity.

What pulley are you talking about? I don't understand. Do you have a photo of what you did?

175 77

I have 175 and 77 and a belt wrapping kit. and I have a perpetual problem with the belts. I watched the video that this happens due to different revolutions of the pulleys. when the gear changes, then the crankshaft pulley slows down - and the compressor pulley in terms of energy rotates at the same speed. or I not right?

Sounds like a misalignment, loose idler, or a bad tensioner.

belt might slip or skip but its not going to throw it. You have a wobbly/ or misaligned pulley.

Ran into same issue after installing a clutched UPD 84mm upper. Shredded 3 belts in ~500 miles. I have 168/84 combo w/ UPD BWK. Stock SC tensioner w/ 135k miles.
Issue was SC clutch gap. Set proper clutch gap @ .3mm on initial install. Shortly after, started throwing belts, specifically @ low throttle/rpm clutch engagement (10mph RH turn from stop, just enough throttle to engage blower, BOOM) After thinking it was tensioner, alignment, sloppy pulley bearings, etc, found the SC pulley gap had closed enough to make the clutch bell hard to spin freely, more noticeable after coming to operating temp. Ended up re-gapping SC pulley to around .35mm (IIRC), allowed clutch bell to spin freely once warm. Have had several 130+mph WOT runs & a few thousand around-town miles with no belt issue. Blower engagement is no different than with stock pulleys/no BWK.

Always verify alignment, lateral pulley runout, tensioner condition first. I triple checked all. Replaced SC idler bearing on UPD pulleys (had 30k miles, was sloppy). Tensioner was 'good' IMO. Verified pulley alignment with a laser, straight edge, you name it. Was stumped. The gap re-adjustment saved my sanity last summer...was bummed to all of a sudden start throwing belts.

hello. on your vrp website, there is only one bearing in the photo in the video. show the photo of the video with two bearings.
