Has anyone install the Lidatek laser jammer in the E55? Where do you mount the transponder? Thanks for your help.

I have it, and it is wired to my mirror etched valentine 1, so both the audio and visual alarm is seen on my V1 display. The transponder is mounted in the front grill. It is virtually undetectable. If you send me your e-mail I'll send you pics. And yes, it has saved me a few times already.

The actual display of the V1 (the arrows, mode, etc.)is etched onto my rearview mirror. The on/off switch is integrated into the reading lamp below the mirror (light still works, to)The "box" or unit itself is hidden inside the rear decklid. Nothing hanging on the windshield, no wires, etc.

I had my LE20 mounted behind the black grill just below the front bumper. Had submitted photos before, you'll find them if you do a searc together with my V1 stealth install.

Thanks cts, that sounds like a perfect setup. If I were to have that installed in my car, what should I tell the guy who does it so that he knows what Im talking about?

My guess is that there are very few shops qualified to do this install. I found a couple in the NY-Metro area. Another member wanted to do this and could not find a shop (I think in Atlanta) to do it. This is NOT your typical car stereo shop type of install.

Absoultely. Not a real new concept, with several very good options.

Can you please tell me who etched your mirror for you and installed the remote display?

Does the autodim function still work?

thanks

I emailed Greg and he will only provide Gentex Homelink mirrors. Does anyone else have someone that will do MB mirrors?

By the way Greg quoted $499 for the mirror and V1 remote display. Subtract $40 for the remote display if you provide your own and $50 if you provide the mirror.
