Worried about my E55....
My 1 week old 05 E55 sits in my garage on the barrier island in north Indian River county, right in the path of Hurricane Jeanne. I am in Orlando now. My garage stayed intact during Frances.....but this one is stronger......hold on baby!
Positive thoughts would be appreciated.

I feel for ya - this hurricane-of-the-week crap is getting old in a hurry. Kept mine dry in the garage during both Frances & Ivan with no probs. Hope yours weathers the storm - better yet, hope it doesn't have to deal with it. Best of luck!

My E55 lived through hurricane Ivan on the top level of a four story parking garage in Pensacola. Many other cars near mine had their windows blown out from the wind but the E55 made it through just fine. I was in the hospital for our child that was born before Ivan hit. No, we did not name her Ivana. My Porsche was in the garage and made it just fine and I'd bet your car will be fine too. This storm will be wimpy compared to the destruction of Ivan.....at least, I hope it is for all those in Jeanne's path.

Get your *** down there and evacuate that car. Stop what you're doing (because whatever that may be it is not worth flooding your car) and get down there and save that car.
It really pisses me off when people let a car get flooded....even a Hyundai, because after all, its not like a house, IT HAS WHEELS...simply drive it out of the path of destruction.
My god this is a no-brainer.

The eye passed 10 miles north of us last night. Winds were ferocious-up to 115 mph around here. Streets were flooded but only halfway up our driveway. Only structural damage was a handful of roof tiles. Unlike Francis which caused much more damage 3 weeks ago, this time we never lost power and now have cable restored. Not a drop of water on the Benz though.

You obviously don't live in FL. Your recommendation is a good way to find yourself sitting through a hurricane in your car while it gets flooded, or, best case, to sit in a hotel while your car gets flooded. Even if you could get the car to fly over the gridlock, what would you do when the car runs out of gas?
Hope everything was fine eagleeye. We didn't even lose power for this one.
