Silly issue again..four years in
Every time the car is on the trailer the interior lights will come on randomly. So at this point what I do is tilt the rear view mirror in the E55 down so it is easyer to see the lights come on from my truck and just hit the remote to unlock or lock the doors and they shut off and I never have to stop driving when they turn on randomly during the drive and again not a big deal just a little annoying.
They will always turn on when connecting and disconnecting the trailer as well.
I have run ground straps from the car to the trailer to the ground ...it just drags on the ground with the thought that it's a static issue. One time during a big storm unloading the car there was a lightning bolt somewhere close by and the interior lights came on, the sun roof opened and the hazards turned on and no one was in the car. Any thoughts ? LOL Crazy !!!

I really can't disconnect the battery because then all the learned ECU information gets erased. I take the car off the trailer and then make my runs so can't take the chance with something having to relearn.

Remember this is a problem ONLY on a car trailer. Also when we get to the hotel the night before a race and want to head out for the night for food we will leave the car on the trailer and just disconnect it from the truck. As soon as the trailer ball on the hitch leaves the trailer when cranking down the hand jack ....lights come on. Reconnect the next morning to go to the race and I mean as SOON as the trailer ball is in the trailer socket ....lights come back on. It's crazy for sure !

If it's JUST the convenience lights coming on, I'd look at individual door sensors. Maybe being strapped down is causing the slightest body flex somewhere where a door sensor makes contact. Try adding a thick piece of felt or something to the sensors, so they're pushed extra hard when the doors are closed, and see if it goes away?
It's not so much any movement because even very slowly lowering the trailer a couple inches to connect or mostly disconnect they come on. Has to be a static thing going on.
Also don't forget the lightning/thunder strike close by and the lights, flashers and moon roof opened/turned on.
