W211 E55 MY 2005 - Rear Airmatic question...
When I measure the body ride height it shows about 3/4 " lower at the left rear wheel well than it does at the right.
The front of the car is level from left to right.
This rear difference exists no matter the suspension setting (comfort - 1 - 2) or the vehicle rising setting.
The Airmatic system does not lose pressure (sink) over time (weeks) so I do not think there is a leak anywhere or a bad air unit.
Are there calibrations for this left to right slant?
Or is there a sensor that controls this?
Thanks.
HEO
The car does have 19" AMG two-piece wheels.
And it only has 30K miles after all these years.

The original owner bought a CLK 63 Black Series to replace it.
I got to see that CLK. Awesome car in black. WOW.

This would be my guess, too. It's time, even for well-maintained cars.
I have a 2003 and the original rear bags were still going strong until last winter, when after sitting for maybe 4 days, you can see it start to droop. Some people would be OK with it for a while, but I went ahead and switched them out for Arnott units.

Since the air bag stays inflated (actually ALL the bags F and R) I am hoping that those are OK.
The car was aligned when I got now tires and it in on spec.
Perhaps I bent something along the way? (pothole)

I was just thinking that maybe the valve block could also play a role (one shock receiving more air than the other)?
When I get to the bottom of this I will post the root cause and the repair information.
All the best... HEO
