E55 Wagon coming to the US?

http://www.autospies.com/article/ind...&categoryId=11

Perhaps Marcus or someone who works at a dealership provide some insight on this?

Confirmed

My dealer confirmed the ability to order the E55 wagon for the first time due to demand from its US clients. Orders need to be booked soon, I suppose because the factory has to assess demand.

This will be the ultimate Q ship. There has never been a factory made wagon for the US market which does 0-60 in less than 5 seconds.

I ordered a designo edition, just to make it even more exclusive.

Just out curiousity, why would someone want to get an E55 wagon over a sedan? If you are going to spend $90k+ on an automobile, why do so on a wagon???

Perhaps more discreet appearence. I would definetely be interested to see a E55 wagon VS. RS6+, since both are family wagons on steroid.

Why not? If Porsche can build an SUV, why not an AMG station wagon?

Wagons are cool

Just imagine the look on the Porsche pilot's face when you dust him off in your debadged E55 station wagon. Just imagine the look on your dog's face when you pin him against the reat hatch of your warp speed wagon. Just imagine how easy it will be to justify to your wife how practical you have become when you come home with a station wagon (don't let her see the four pipes in the back and she may never suspect a thing).

Why not just debadge the E55 if you are looking to be discreet. BTW, station wagon and SUV I believe are quite different to be comparing with each other.

Sorry to be late, but it is official that the E55 Wagon will make it to the shores of the U.S. The base MSRP will be $82,500 plus options and if anyone is interested House of Imports is taking deposits!!

An SUV is just a station wagon on its tip-toes. 99.999% of SUVs never leave the pavement, except when they roll over on the road and end up off the road.

If I got the E55 wagon I'd refer to it as a Shooting Brake.

Marcus,

Is Euro Delivery out of the question on this car? If so, how soon could pickup be arranged?

I have been saving for a E55 this year, this news of the Wagon changes my plans. I have been waiting for this car for several years here in the US, finally.....
