What did you do to your W211 AMG today?

Got the side skirt extensions on. They look better in person than than this photo may indicate. They sit down lower and wider than the side skirt. Perfect compliment to the front lip. Nothing crazy. Just modernizing the car a bit. I like them. Glad that I got them.
They were packaged well, but didn't come with any hardware, self-tapping screws, or double-sided tape. They really should, at this price point.
Also, they are molded and fit perfectly to the AMG side skirts (which have a twisting shape). They are hollow with only 3-sided. Thin but seems to be substantial. We'll see how they hold up.

1999 C43 AMG, 2005 E55 Wagon
Those strips look good. I wonder if they'd fit a wagon?
All I did to mine was walk past it in the garage. I've been letting it mostly be a garage queen to keep miles off of it. Something about not wanting to tank the value of an E55 wagon too much. But lately I'm wondering if mine will ever have any value. It's got a rebuilt title and 185k miles. I'm thinking I'm stupid for expecting it to ever actually appreciate in value. I should probably get rid of my C43 and just drive the E55 until the wheels fall off.

Thanks! The extensions combined with the front lip extension make the car look much lower without actually lowering it. I know this isn't a new concept in car mods, but it's nice, nonetheless. I think the black (fake) carbon accents work with the colors of the car. Especially with the dark pano/solar roof. I keep thinking that all black wheels would be too much. It's a modern look. But, I've always liked bright wheels on cars. Doesn't matter what I want anyway being that it takes over 6 months to get any of the nicer wheels these days.
I think so. 99% sure. But, confirm before ordering.
What are you saving it for? The next person to enjoy?
Also, with 185K and a rebuilt title, you won't get high dollar for it. Take car of it and have fun with it. Use it. Haul **** with it.

I was cleaning my BCM air filters today and on a whim finally pulled out the charcoal filters cause they were looking pretty crusty anyway. It made a pretty noticeable improvement in throttle response/revs more freely. But what really suprised me was the much welcome decrease in engine braking. I didn't see that coming. I'm assuming it decreased vacuum pressure in the intake manifold?
I have an 07 63 btw

I was reluctant to order the rear bumper extensions for fear that it might be too much. But, they work just fine.
Now I'm on the hunt for a rear diffuser. The 4-fin didn't fit well (hid the exhaust tips and didn't curve well to the bumper). I have one in mind. We'll see if I can get it.
...but it may not need one 🤷♀️

I took the rear bumper extensions off. The mold isn't form-fitting to the bumper very well. Once the car was in the sun, the ill-fitting part pulled against double-sided tape and then gaps appeared starting at the rear tips. Looked cheap. I'm not about to fight Suvneer to get my money back on these. Getting the money back for the rear diffuser was like pulling teeth.
The front lip and side-skirts are great. It's like they used the wrong bumper to make their molds for the rear bumper bits.
In other news, I did some "spirited driving" today with a BMW 335 (N54 motor) and a Mini of some sort. I was quickly humbled as we rolled from around 45mph. Also, Airmatic feels sketch at very high speeds. I got the ******* at one point.

Replaced the conductor plate and did a transmission oil flush (removed 6 liters). Didnt go exactly according to planning, but in the end I forgot to do an TCU adaptation reset...

It's gonna be a loooong weekend 😂
One front and one rear. Lots more documentation and stuff in the boxes. The packaging, quality, fit, and finish are on par with the best. This will be my 2nd car with D2 coilovers. I've had 2 cars with H&R coilovers and one with TEIN.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the D2 GT coilovers are TÜV approved 👍🏽

If anyone has done the same conversion, i'd try to get their values for ride height. I found adjusting the ride height on the rear was a pain with the adjusters on top of the spring. You need to dissamble the whole rear in order to change stuff there.

That being said, I just bought a new set of 12mm H&R spacers for the rear and I know that H&R also has TÜV approval, but there were no TÜV papers included. Just logos on the box.
Maybe the papers are on the website? Or they don't ship the papers for US customers?

What did I do with my E55 AMG today?
Well, yesterday I totally smoked a boy-racer Audi with a fart-can exhaust. Taught him to respect old guys in plain-looking Mercedes-Benz wagons. Today I hauled a 6ft-6in bookcase but never over 75 mph. Ain't wagons great? Performance and practicality.

Got the fronts installed. This took waaaaay longer than if a pro had done it. Lots of learning for me (plus a couple of trips to the shop for tools).
@UncleBenz55 , there are TÜV stickers on the units themselves.
Out of the box, they were too low:
I tried to raise it 1.5" for a one-finger gap. But apparently +1.5" on the shaft doesn't translate to +1.5" on the car:
So, I gotta go in and redo them again. You have to fully remove them to adjust them...which sucks.
The good news is that, even with just these two in, I feel a lot more feedback from the wheels and tires. So much so that I think I need new wheel bearings because I feel the current ones grinding 😂

If I bought another set, I'd probably go for 19", though.
