Cranks endlessly - Wont start

Arrived home yesterday after a long day of driving and found my auxilarry water pump had a hose blown off - figured no big deal and went to bed as it was almost midnight. This morning car cranks for what seems like forever - no start. No codes this morning and also no codes last night. I have tons of hand tools to take care of this at home - just no specialty ones. Im thinking relay or fuse and I am horrid at electrical. Any other suggestions?

If the Crank Position Sensor failed the car would behave just as you discribe. Don't buy junk - only OEM.

Its extra strange because I replaced CPS less than a month ago with original Bosch model. Will have to buy another one.

P. S. Is there a possibility of oil/liquid getting in sensor due to over/undertorquing?

In that case, check fuel pressure before throwing a part at it.

Since you recently replaced the CPS then the next item to check for is fuel pressure. Looks like Kevin beat me to that suggestion.

Maybe you got a knockoff in a Bosch box, lots of counterfeit crap floating around, especially Bosch injectors and sensors.

This happened to me.
CPS had been replaced afew years ago with OEM part
It was actually the fuel pump fuse blown. This was due to them being old and the filter clogged up.
Replaced the 2 RHS fuel pumps and new fuel delivery unit on the LHS. £££ !

What is your cooling setup, if you were not in a split circuit, and the hose blew, how much coolant was lost? Has the coolant been replaced? Was there an overheating event? Then, what electrical was hit by this coolant.

Fuel pressure tests are next. I have normal cooling w/upgraded 010 pump and PLM XL Cooler. About 3-4qts were lost but I think only because I noticed late
