I just bought a black 2007 E63 my first mercedes and it happens to be an AMG monster. It is black, black tint, headlights and tailights are lightly tinted too. Front grill is black but wheels are not black they are chrome.
Scenario 1: Going all black: plastidip or powder coat rims black. This way everything will be black
Scenario 2: Changing black grill to original chrome. Taking tint off head and tail lights and leaving rims as is. Rims are 20" staggered.
Also, will 2007 e280 or e550 grill fit my 2008 e63? Please let me know what you guys think.

Cool car, congrats.
De-tint and de-black everything. That’s what I think.
i personally am not a fan of the blacked out look. i opt for option 2. you can still eliminate the chrome, but the whole murdered out look has been over done and really for me is tasteless.

There are several different grills depending on how the car was optioned. Most are shared between with the other models. Provide your VIN and I can get the specific grill that came on your car and will be correct for the options of the car.
De-tint the lights at least! The E-class is way more sophisticated than that If you keep the wheels silver, then I would keep more chrome elements (trimpieces) to keep things balanced

You may have the correct grill. The listed part number is 211 880 17 83 - 9040. The 9040 is the color code which is listed as 'Black'. MB puts the part number on almost every part so look for the one on your grill and see if it matches this. Good luck.
Take off the standing star and drive it as is. The car looks good! Black and chrome is a dated look tho, leave the grill. Dip the wheels another color or have the brake calipers painted.
You bought an “AMG monster” but you want it to look like granddads church car? I think ppl worry too much about what OTHER ppl think. Why buy a car that you don’t like the looks of??? It’s a Mercedes hot rod, what’s it supposed to look like?
In my opinion the tinted lights (front and rear) look really cheap and reduce the contrast on the car. The red and black contrast on the stock rear is so brutal and sexy, it's like pulling a garbage bag over the car and hiding stuff, when tinting the led lights. Same thing on the front, the chrome and black on the front make the car look richer.
But that's just my opinion and in the end, you have to like the car.
I did not know the black grill on this paritcular unit is actually stock. I have taken the tint off the head and tail lights. And leaving everything else as is. Thanks for the input everyone. As i do like both the looks, all black and black and chrome. So to avoid messing around with the rims with powder coat or dip, taking the tint off instead was the easist which I have done it.
Btw, what is this mesh type surface called above the middle two vents and under the windshield? See the pictures. Its annoying that I can never get it fully cleaned by just wiping as it seems like some of the stuff is stuck inside the little holes. Do people take it out and clean?
Nobody else's opinion of YOUR car matters - only your opinion matters. If you want to murder out your car, do it, leave it as it is, or do even more than what it is. It's your decision, not ours.
Anything tastefully done is in the eye of the beholder -
Don't listen to anyone but yourself, that goes for many life situations too.. not just car stuff ...

My. 02
This is my take on car mods in general. I hate to see a car owner minding their own business then someone else takes a pic of that car and posts online to make fun of them. But, that's not what happened here (and we aren't making fun of OP). OP asked for opinions. I actually suggest more people do that. That's a lot cheaper (and faster) than modding a car then asking, "What do you think?"
Every car doesn't look great "murdered-out". On these cars (and most) the chrome and different colored accents provide contrast and help define the overall look of the car. A black blob rolling down the street looks like...well...a black blob rolling down the street.
This is especially true with wheels. It pains me to see very cool and intricate wheels in black that in effect get absorbed into the wheel wells. Now it's just a brake rotor and caliper show.
In an effort to not offend anyone on the board, here are some non-Mercedes with black wheels:
Wheels have the potential to make the single biggest impact on how a car looks. Why would you hide them in the wheel wells?
Also, the few cars that look great murdered-out also look great in almost any color.
