Exhaust tips hanging low
Anyone know what can cause these exhaust tips to hang low? The left one is hanging low, and the right one is hanging even lower. I’m guessing it’s a broken exhaust hanger on each side? I had something similar happen on my E550 but only one side was hanging low… This didn’t happen until I recently had work done on my car and they put it on a lift.

BTW, the proper OEM hangers even have "AMG" stamped on them.
EDIT:
I changed out the hangers when I was installing coilovers, so I cannot recall if it's necessary to remove the rear fender liners (they were off for the coilover install), but I don't think so.

I have small asian hands, but I could not get to the rear upper hangers without removing the bumper. As you can see, heatshield is also in the way.
Correct, get the AMG ones, they are not that expensive.

Edit: aren't you about 6 hours ahead of us? I figure you will be halfway through a bottle of wine and getting ready for bed in the next couple of hours.

Dropped my car off at the shop again today to have more work done. When I returned to pick the car up about 5 hours later, the tips were fixed. I am guessing the mechanic must’ve left something undone when he replaced my control arms and fixed it today while he did the other work, hoping I wouldn’t notice. I didn’t mention it to him anyway because I couldn’t prove they weren’t already like that when I dropped the car off there the first time, and he does good work for the most part. Still, very weird….
Taken about 6 PM tonight, a few hours after I picked up my car. The tips are now high up where they should be.

This is how the exhaust hangs when disconnected from the hangers:
That's about how low my exhaust hung when in the middle of the replacement job.
