Can anybody recommend a nice cooling fan as a replacement from OE? I would prefer something that’s not universal or something that kind of drops in, I’m having a hard time finding the OE number as well as it looks like it’s been discontinued.

my cooling fan failed on my 600sl. mercedes wanted 1800 for oem. i replaced with aftermarket unit for about 400 bucks. its been fine for the last year
but no telling how long it will last. I needed to trim the shroud slightly., otherwise it was pretty straight foreward. just google cooling fan for mercedes Model.

I appreciate it but on FCP Euro it’s not saying that it fits my Cls55. I normally post on the E 55 group because there’s more interaction.

I just looked up the part number in the MB parts catalog and the one posted is the correct part number. You can also look up all parts yourself using the MB parts catalog here: https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...fg/219376/65h/

I think he is confused that original part number was discontinued and he is convinced that cls55 had his own radiator fan.
That part number matches e/cls320/350/500/550 fans and many other mercedes models and he is not sure if it will fit.
