My VRP Whipple install
On to the good stuff
Some purple loctite as per whipple instructions.
Get the seal cut
The billet rear snout adapter.
Baseplate
More seal.
Lined up.
Used blue loctite with the bolts for the baseplate
Ready for the intercooler, snout, and bypass swap.
Snout is in.
92mm hellcat tb
Intercooler is in after the recommended trimmings. For those interested, I use FI Interchillers heat shield blanket where ever I could fit it, can use builtbyfood for a code if you need a break.
Also, the intecooler side tanks have been upgraded to Dans kit, also have 7/8th in/out for water.
While you're there thing, replace that damper if you haven't.
Yup, flex fuel going in.
Flexfuel kit lay out.
Not too shaby
Getting ready...
I take cooling seriously.
Side track moment, I got tired of the fuel line loop, so I chopped it down and put and 6an fitting on it.
Then found some hidden wire damage, cleaned it up and repaired.
I used to have a map sensor as a plug, I need more room, so I turned this lovely audi piece into a block off plate.
Yup, I even covered the sides of the blower.
I feel like I could have a sweet table setup....
and yeah, I covered under the surge tanks
Test fitting
Rear in/out water connections. 7/8th to 12an.
Going in for the last time.
Rail and runners on
Bottom of the surge tanks in.
Tanks on, and the rest of my kit is back in.
Down graded the pulley until party time is oked from Tony at RaceIQ
It lives, and drinks very very well.
Great view.
Tada.
Install for me is very different than others, but I wrote a guide to help a lot. In total, probably 4 or so hours to swap. But never drive until maybe 24 or so to let sealants fully cure.
