I have a 03 e55 with the stock radio and would like to swap the cd changer to a storage container. I have seen some people use emulators and install different motors to bypass everything but i saw a video where someone just used a fiber optic loop to connect it and it worked fine with no issues. Is that all i need to do besides getting the oem container or is there something else i missed?

 

You need to read this thread I put together. It covers what needs to be done. A fiber optic loop is not going to fix the problem.
