Does anyone else’s make this noise at idle
Recently got this car and I love it! There’s this noise at idle though, and I’ve heard from some that it’s normal so I put it aside, but it seems like mine has gotten louder. It sounds like if you had low power steering fluid, but the power steering is good. The noise still continues while driving the car and I fear I’m hurting the engine.

it's always gonna do it the first few seconds when you start the engine cold, but it should quiet down a bit after a few seconds.
on some cars it quiets down and goes away, on others it quiets down but is still there and never goes away. There's no rhyme or reason to it, as far as I know.

The W211 E55 is quite noisy. My W211 E55 is much noisier than my normally aspirated W210 E55 which has fewer pulleys...
It takes awhile to "learn" the "normal" sounds of the supercharged engine. But... when you do hear a difference, inspect immediately. I discovered a bad supercharger idler pulley bearing and a supercharger clutch pulley bearing on separate occasions because the racket it made was louder and "grindier" than usual.
