Any W211's in/near Boca Raton, FL want to make some easy $ against an M5??
This idiot claims he's beaten both a Turbo Porsche and a CL55 S/C in his M5 with chip/exhaust, *and* that he'll run for money. Any takers? I'd love to see video of this!

I doubt he's for real anyhow...from the tone of his posts, I'd say he's a teenager. Plus, his stories are pretty ridiculous...hung with a TT to 80+ three times in a row, and beat a CL55, which is faster than a TT from a roll?

...I'm sure the guy would make some excuse not to show...honestly, though, I'm surprised no one here (or on the CL55/65 forum) jumped at the chance...if I were in FL, I'd have done it just for grins.

Let me clarify my story real quick. A few months ago I came to a light with a guy in a CL55 that was on 20 inch rims. We talked to each other, and admired one another's car. The light turned great and I got one of the best launches of my life. I heard his tires spin and chirp, and then he got going. I pulled him down low then hit second. My tires then spun, and he came back up a little. He came back until he was almost at my door in the front of the car. We went through 3rd and we both backed off since it wasn't the best place for racing. He was shocked and he asked me what I had done to my car, and then we said bye to each other and drove away. I am just telling you guys exactly what happened.
With the Turbo, I never claimed to beat a Turbo. The guy with the turbo is a friend of mine. I pulled him slightly down low through second. He came back through third, and then ran away pretty good after one hundred. This happened three straight times. We went from a 20 roll.
I never said anything about the E55 or the SL55. If anyone with a stock CL55 wants to race me, I will definitely do it. I will also race a CLK55 or a C55 since both of these claim to beat M5's. I'm not here to create enemies with any of you. I just told you a story of what happened one day when I was driving around town. I respect AMG cars and think they are great cars as is the M5.

The E55 has the same supercharged engine, the same gearing, same drivetrain, etc. The CL55 is more rare, however, and is thus harder to find: it lists $120,000 to the E55's $80,000.
Both have been tested by the car magazines in the mid 12's:
Motor Trend's test of CL55: 0-60: 4.27 sec.; 1/4 mile: 12.38 @ 114.45:
Motor Trend's test of E55: 0-60: 4.2 sec.; 1/4 mile: 12.39@ 116.21
So, Motor Trend tested the E55 AMG at a whopping 0.01 seconds faster through the 1/4 than the CL55 AMG you claim you were pacing at 110 mph.
Only differences are that the CL55's engine is rated at 493 horsepower, while the E55's is rated at 469, and the CL55 is about 200 lb heavier--offset by the horsepower differential. Here are their specs:

So, if you can run right with a CL55, you can run right with an E55.
But as I suspected, you are a TROLL and nothing more, a wannabe: once someone offers to run you, you make excuses and back out.
