Anyway, there is an epilogue: among other things, apk said he'd crush my CLK55, but unlike that wuss, I'll actually show up and race!! Here are results when I ran my stock '01 CLK55 against two E39 M5s like apk's, one stock, one with a Dinan chip & exhaust; we ran two times each, from a dig and from a roll:

apk said he'd slaughter my car, and could beat/hang with a CL55...and yet we see the results: four runs, four wins....and a CL55 would murder my car! He was a BS artist, nothing more.
