I would imagine none in most cases

In my area if you find one you like you will pay MSRP. I think the days of people paying over MRSP are over but the car still has a high enough demand that people will pay MSRP in a heartbeat.

I am glad that I bought mine before the $3K price increase on MSRP on all 05's and loss of free service.

Never heard of a discount for an E55 around my area. I paid MSRP for mine and a free Benz keychain.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
obiously, depends on....

where you are. They are beginning to ease. Cars are on the ground that are unsold, especially in the larger markets. If you want to build a car, I'm not sure you could get much off, but if there is one in the system, and you're capable of owning it, watch out. Folks will be on you like white on rice. It is just Tough out there in the big $$ markeplace. If you want, email me privately and give me some particulars, there are several small market stores that would love to sell one and make a profit.

hi guys,

thanks for the info.
i have one more question....what about xenons....how
important are they as an option? i've found a couple of
new E55's and both are missing the xenon headlights.
over 80k and no xenons...kind of a bummer

Bi-Xenon is a must.... Awesome feature especially combined with the "active curve illumination"....

Xenon is a must in any car these days, the illumination they provide over standard halogen lights is great. It should be standard in a car of this caliber and for any car IMO since it is a safety item and should not be considered a luxury item.

I got my xenons installed aftermarket and they are awesome. They are acutally brighter then the OEM version. Mercedes is not allowed to put the brighter bulbs that they install in Europe here in the US, however, you can get the brighter bulbs in the aftermarket units. The brighter buld is much crisper with a blue tint. Make sure you get the entire unit with a ballast, not just a replacement bulb. Keep in mind though that aftermarkets will not turn with the car and it will also be missing the headlamp washers that are always included with the OEM option. I don't miss these features at all. Bottom line, I am very picky when it comes to my car and I highly recoomend the aftermarket units. Mine were $1500 installed.

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
Once you have a car with Xenons you'll never go back. They are worth every cent you pay for them. They also allow you to signal people in the left passing lane to move over. If they don't they will have their retinas fried by the hi beams. :v Works every time.

Since the 2005 model has the $3K MSRP increase from the 2004 model, you may be able to get some "wiggle room" with some dealers.

Whenever u save money it is a good thing

is it true that the "white light" produced by the xenons is of a brightness that is more suited for dry weather as opposed to rainy or snowy weather where brighter lights in the higher color spectrum will reflect off the rain drops, snow, or fog, producing bad visability?
