HPS Gen II in progress
The 55 left on a flat bed today for the install. Dyno runs stock will happen Monday, then again once the work is complete. Hoping to get a few 1/4 mile runs for time done by the end of Jan. It should be a monster. The HPS intercooler is supposed to be more efficient and uses a better water pump than the W211's so hopefully heat soak won't be as much of an issue as it is with the stock 211's. Now if I can just keep my license long enough to enjoy it.

For sure, and I'm hoping to have some time slips to post by the end of January. A LSD may be in the works as well, it depends on how well it hooks up (or not).

First pull with no adaptive miles, stock filters, etc, etc, was 421 RWHP. Will have pics and charts to post very soon.

I don't have the charts yet, I just got the call with the "after" numbers. Stock 55 usually makes around 285 HP, so probably 125-135 HP gain at the wheels.

The car is done, it's being driven to get some adaptive miles on it today. If there's time, it will get another dyno run to see the difference, but I'm fresh out of patience. They had to make a second injector change that held me up again. Depending on the correction factor you use, 496-515 crank HP. First run was lower HP but outrageous torque number, 500+. A/F was a little high, so the change was made. Should be delivered Friday.

Very nice HP numbers, how much did HPS say this kit might cost?

Should be $7,500.00 plus install, possibly extra cost for the warranty, they're still negotiating terms with the warranty company.

Factory injectors have to be changed to higher flow units. The first set still did not flow enough to satisfy the motor and the air/fuel ratio was still a little lean. That made monster torque, but not as much HP. The 421 HP run was 11.5 to 12.5 air/fuel, which is ideal.

Does that mean new higher flow injectors are needed to go along with the Gen II HPS Supercharger? If so, does that also mean there needs to be a change to the ECU?

There are no changes to the ECU. The injectors are included because they are required. The stock injectors simply will not flow enough to feed that much horsepower no matter what the ECU tells them. They couldn't stay open long enough to get the flow you need.

Thanks!!! I was getting a little concerned that if I get the HPS Gen II that I would have to make other engine modificatioins.
