The Official W211 Wheel Thread: Post Pics

The timing when i bought my wheels were somewhat perfect.
Sold my HRE's and Forgestars.
The shop / manufacturer was telling me that i had a "deadline" to put in an order if i wanted to have wheels made.
Back in February, his reason was... "summertime is just around the corner and I'll be receiving a bunch of wheel orders. We're so backed up that I'm going to close the shop for the entire summer. So if you want wheels, let's configure them now. I have 14 orders to complete and we're done for a while."
With him saying that... i ended up throwing him money the next day.
I tried asking him if i can get a discount if i ordered 3 sets total. He looked at me and said... i'll charge you more cause we're very backed up.
My wheels finished around late March. His usual turn around time is 12 business days. But it ended up taking a little over 3 weeks.
Got lucky i guess.
P.S. - my one and only mistake was the valve stem placement. I hate exposed valve stems. If you take a good look at any of my wheel pics, you'll notice that there's no valve stem on any of the lips. super clean look. Nor are there any valve stems on the rivets. I messed up. I drilled the hole myself. The stupid thing is on the inner barrel bent at a 90 degree angle. It's a mini valve stem millimeters away from hitting the calipers when in motion. Luck times 2!

Anyone know how to swap the glove box? I miss having the little built in tray.
Also going to eventually pull the headlight bezels out of my 07 and put them into these hid headlights.
I noticed the e55 headlights level themselves on start, does this mean I have active cornering? I can't really notice at night but am still curious.
Last thing to fix (driving me nuts!!) Is the dynamic seats, I made a separate thread to record my progress on that front.
Also, if anyone is curious, the rearview mirror is unfortunately not a direct swap.
After I get everything else all tidied up, I hope to do the e63 bumper upgrade as well, then I think I will be done with mods. Kind of considering swapping out the rear door cards for sunshade ones but I'm wishy washy about it.
Bosses' g63 in the back! Lol
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
- With the correct shape of the inner side of the face (round vs. flat - to clear the calipers)
- stretched tires
- rolled and pulled fenders (possibly shaved)
- and a couple/few degrees of camber
...it can be done.
Just got a e55 and was wondering what is considered aggressive as far as offset and widths go?
I'm coming from owning a g35,gs, and LS400 all were vip inspired builds, so all the cars were slammed with aggressive fitment. Thanks guys!
I have some nice 20 inch wheels running the popular 245/30/20 & 285/25/20 tire sizes. I currently have Pirelli pzero's with a load index of 90 in front 92 in back. Our stock tires have 93 in front & 97 out back. I keep getting blowouts and bumps in my front tires, is anyone else experiencing this??
The only companies that make the proper load indexed tires in this size are off brands like lexani & lionhart.
ANY SUGESTIONS?
