Any info on the 2005 AMG challenge events?
Just wondering. I haven't seen any info at MBUSA or here as of yet. Any info any you "insiders" have would be greatly appreciated.

My local dealer offered that you (people like us) have to be invited/sponsored through the dealership to the AMG driver events. Not sure if this is accurate or not. Someone please advise.

The reason I ask is because I attended a 2004 AMG Challenge event at Pocono Raceway in May 2004. It was awesome and I had a great time. Just wondering if AMG is having such an event this year. Not free but worth the money IMHO. Other venues such as Miami, Las Vegas, and Indy are a few I can remember from last year. I would love to drive the 65 series AMG cars.

yeah, I'll be there if they would send the invites. I need to schedule my vacation soon if the event is in May again.

I don't recall seeing the 2004 info until February '04.
I attended the 2004 event in Dallas and it was very well worth the $$ IMO.
I, too, am looking for the 2005 schedule as I'd like to take part in the advanced program.
As for questions above, an invitation is not necessary. Slots are filled first come first served and most (?all) events sell out. There were people at my event who didn't even own MB's, let alone AMG's. If you're really interested and don't own an AMG, just stay tuned for details until they appear, then call the toll free number and get in the queue. The initial course lasts about 7-8 hours, allows for use of any of about 40 new AMG's, C55 thru S55, includes breakfast and lunch, a lot of driving time, and several competitions among participants. There were about 80 people at the Dallas event last year. Price was $1000.

and, BTW he didn't own a Benz either - daily driver is a Bentley Continental GT.
