Anyone have any idea about the number of E55 Wagons being brought to the US?
My dealer told me it was "a couple hundred". Would like to know before I spend almost $100k on one

I drive a E55T, SLK55 and 65 Mustang Conv.
We are being told limited production ONLY by order but who knows if that is true. It's a darn beautiful car though! I know we are #3 on the list at our dealership and as if 2 weeks ago they had not received even 1 production spot.

Apparently...
my dealer has two cars that are already built and waiting for an owner. I pay now, I have the uberwagon in 6-8 weeks. What do you think?

Mercedes C400, BMW X3
How many?
Mercedes has decided not to kiss and tell much. I think this will be fairly limited, meaning less than 500 units- the market for wagons in the USA is not strong; the market for expensive wagons is really not strong (notice how few BMW 540 wagons were brought here); the market for unbelievably expensive wagons has got to be microscopic.
Having said that, I snagged the first one ordered by my dealer and hope to have it by March 1- designo graphite, no less- with a $96K MSRP.
Why bother? I like being low key. I think the E55 wagon will be the most stealthy fast car on the road. I plan on debadging mine, although the four pipes in the back will tip off the cognoscenti.

I ordered a black one to replace our black E320 Wagon . Going to paint the exhaust tips black and rebadge it as an E320 so the neighbors and everyone else will think it's the same soccer mom car.
