family member is trading in a 2006 E55AMG w/30k miles in excellent condition for 2010 E63AMG w/MSRP of ~$98k (incl. gas guzzler tax)
the dealer's offer was $31 on the tradein and $1,500 off MSRP. we came back with needing another $5k off.

I came out of a 2008 E63 (lease) in November of last year w/ 5 months left... MBUSA ate my last 4 lease payments and the dealership and I split one 50/50, and I got the car at $5,000 below MSRP on the last day of the month. They had 8 2010 AMG's on the lot at the time.

Wait another 2-3 months. Dealers with 5+ E63s will let them go for $15K off. I may jump in then

Got mine 2 weeks ago, 2010 E63 with a MSRP of $102,425 for $89,000 & $33,000 trade in for my Grand Cherokee SRT8 with 27,000 miles (bought it new 2 years ago for $38,000).
The dealer shipped the car in from Mississippi to Florida. I'm sure the deals are better with a car that's on the lot.
