I have searched over and over again but have not been able to find a diy hardwire install on the w212s. Any suggestions as to which wire and ground location to use in the overhead would be great. Has anyone done this yet?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks!
I did mine last Thursday. I paid someone to do it and didnt pay a ton of attention to the install but I know I had to pay for a relay and needed an adapter. I had the adapter from the previous install. If you want hit up Ed at HMS in Westminster and see if you have them intall it. Simple drop down of the center map light consol and tap into 1 of the hot wires. Note all the wires might seem consent but when the car is in sleep mode the power will go off, no need for a relay

That's where I have all the wires running to. Just wondering if anyone knew which specific wire it was. I just didn't want to waste hours trying to find it.Originally Posted by islandsnow

Oh V1, I got it. Pretty handy to be able to hard wire. That dangling cig cord looks so awful.Originally Posted by i_am_amused
