W212 E63 run with VBox
Just did a couple of runs with VBox and the best I did was:
0-60: 4.1s
0-100: 9.0s
1/4 mile: 12.5s @ 119.3, 0-60': 2.3s, DA: -1413 feet, Relative density: 104.2%
I used the following link to get corrected 1/4 run:
http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...ect+ET+and+MPH
Corrected: 121.134 MPH @ 12.301s: Edit: 12.692 @ 117.405 MPH
My understanding is that vBox is very accurate. Do these numbers make sense?
0-60: 4.1s
0-100: 9.0s

VBoxes in regards to ET are spot-on, but when used at the track, they consistently trap about 1MPH higher than a properly calibrated timing system. Either way, the best performance meter you can buy for the money.

Those results seem to be very consistent with what the various publications have reported (R&T, C&D, Motortrend, Edmunds, etc). Thanks for sharing your results with us.
One question - did the best runs come using Race Start or did you just "wood" the throttle and go.
One more "novice" question on your (numerous) races from a roll, do you manually put the transmission in the "best" gear for the speed at the start and then manually up-shift from there or do you put the tranny in S+ and just floor the throttle?
Thanks

12.69 @ 117 mph seems reasonable. What mods did you have during the run?
If you take it to the track, you'll get better numbers I think

Regarding roll races, I always put the tranny into S+ and select the best gear for a given speed. Most of the time I do 40MPH roll, S+, second gear, ESP-SPORT or OFF.

That's also mainly because the trap speed equipment at the track measures the average speed over the last 60 feet or so while the VBox actually captures the current speed of the car as it passes the 1/4 mile mark. The current speed at the 1/4 mile mark will always be more than the average speed over the last 60' feet.
