Shopping cart dimple

As careful and **** as I am in parking lots, the inevitable happened on a windy day recently and I got a couple of dimples from what I think was an errant shopping cart. Anyone ever have these types of dings repaired? Any clues or idea how much cost would be? It's about the size of a dime and isn't too deep. You can't see it unless you look for it but I know it's there and it bugs me to know it's there.

Thx

Based on your description Im sure the ding can be pressed out (you didnt mention where on the car though). The door ding mobile guys these days are quite incredible at what they can do. I have seen some of the local guys remove near creases in the metal and you can't even tell it was there.

Id be guessing but the cost could be between 50-100 dollars. Your local Benz dealer would have a vendor they could refer to you. Every dealer has a ding/glass/paint touch up guy.

You da man, Vic! Its on the passenger's side door panel. One is in the middle of the panel, and the second is close to the crease right by the door handle. I'll post a pic later.

Years ago when I was working at a dealership. We would use dry ice to pop out hail dents.

Thanks, I've looked into it and seems like people tend to say that when the metal heats back back up, the impression comes back. I'll see what the dealer wants to charge and if its not too much, i'll just spring for it instead of looking around for the dry ice.

Paintless dent repair is pretty brilliant nowadays, fortunately for us.

It should come out easily, and without any paint blemishes, you'll never know it was there.

I find that Dealers will rape your a$$ with their dent-removal guys, so best bet is to call around your area (Google "Dent Repair", or "Paintless Dent Removal", etc.), and see who does it cheapest, with a reputable shop/business. I got a bunch removed from my old W211 for like $30 a pop.

Thx fellas. Vic you were pretty spot on. 129 is what they charged me. They charge per panel so if there more dimples they woulda charge the same. Happy to pay a bit more at the dealer rather than researching reputable repair guys and then running around to another shop. Had the service A done, cleared the CEL and got the dings fixed all in one day. Easy as pie.
