Hey guys,
I posted up a thread about tinting the tails on our e63s a while ago,
Ive come to the conclusion that blacking out the lights dark will look cheezy.... however i feel the red is too vibrant.

has anyone experienced tinting or painting the tail lights very very lightly. Just to make the red one shade darker.
if so please post any and all pics.

How do you keep those pipes so clean? Mine are developing spots that won't polish out by hand. Looks like yours are still in factory floor shape.

Igor: You seem to have lots of Tint options, which is great. I wanted the lightest tint possible (the lighter the better on taillights, as nothing is cheesier and cheaper looking than a solid black tint), so I got the lightest out of the 3 levels the Shop had, and I'm happy with it (kind of a "Cherry" color in brighter lights). However, the guy who got his W212 done in that picture got it done the worst way IMO, the white part needs to stay un-Tinted or else it looks really bad.
Here's mine:

That aside, everyone and their mother blacks out their tails and leave the clear, he wanted his to be a little unique.

Igor, i love that tint job. I completely agree with everyone. Usually i think the tint makes the car look cheap, but i think it depends on the car color too.
But i've been looking for a light tint like this forever!
i have the palladium color and always this just slightly darker color.
too bad you guys are all the way out in NY and couldn't do it for me. But it's good to know there are options that i can pursue.

igor, i have a question do you use a spray booth or just a can? I know the last place i did my lights at sprayed them and baked them in a special booth so it came out perfectly shiny. you could not tell it was painted. looked like glass
