MCT Failure - E63

2011 AMG E63
I have a 2011 E63 and I blew up the transmission today at 8,000 miles. I am glad to see there are not many problems with the MCT. Just wanted to make sure my experience was not a common problem.

The car is sitting at the dealer now. I'll find out just how bad it is tomorrow. I drive pretty hard as well. I launched it from a standstill, got tire spin, the tires dug in and then pow!

Ya sorry bout the set back but better to blow it now when its under warranty. Hate to see what the bill would be if you had to pay for it. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

OK. Good news. The transmission is fine but I snapped an axle. The dealer said they've never seen anything like that. I'm so glad the transmission held up, that means it can really take a beating. The car has 8,000 miles on it so it's under warranty!

first i'm sure merc will say this had never happend to them b4 otherwise that would admit their car is ****...agree?
other than that is i'm a E63 2010 owner and my car was caught on fire by itself while my wife was driving it and i was driving in front too and saw the whole thing on my rear view mirror...called the insurance and got the full pay back of wht i was insured for...but i think i did a mistake that i shouldnt call the insurance instead should call merc to handle the ****....
now wht merc did to me is giving me a 30K discount on my new 2012 E63 deal...
