2012 e63 LSD

Hey guys, i have a question for you all. I am new to the forum so if this is a little bit of a ridiculous question i appologize. I ordered a 2012 e63 with p30 last month and i have been informed the LSD was an option that is not included with perf. package. My question is, do i even want it and is it really necessary for road driving? I really dont plan to track the car but i am also not exactly going to be easy on it. So does it make a difference during on-road driving situations, for those of you that have it, would you miss it if it were gone?

thanks,
josh

On the 2012 the Perf packaage is a great feature due to the HP gain.

No, you will not miss the LSD. Great for knocking off a couple tenths on a track due to better exit speeds, but other than that no need. Plus this is always something you can get later from Quaiff if you want.

thank you this is reassuring that i dont need it. what are the advantages on the road? i have heard that the LSD is useful to optimize traction even for straight line launches, is this incorrect? i have heard that because of the engine rotation, the right rear wheel will spin easier. hopefully you could shed some light on this.

thanks,
josh
